Visualizing Your Customer Journey on FigJam
Designing and planning events can be one of the most cumbersome tasks in creating insights and maintaining accessible data, but mapping your customer journey is less of a headache with the right template and tools.
For starters, I like Amplitude for event data because it’s a platform that gives you the ability to both analyze and action the data collected along a customer’s journey.
So how do you communicate and plan the type of events that need to be programmed to get the insights needed to determine success? Here’s a customer journey map template I built on FigJam to help teams visually plan all of the data points they want to collect from customers on-site. I demoed this template in a “How I Amplitude” session that the team wrote about here.
In my experience, this template has been helpful for aligning developers, analysts and product teams. This customer journey map template can be helpful for anyone instrumenting a series of Amplitude events, whether analytics, marketing or product.
It’s a work in progress, and I’d love to hear your thoughts: how it can be improved, if you tried it what you thought, and so on!
